Why does CASA CTA accept donations?
CASA is a 501c3 not-for-profit agency. All of our funding comes from grants, donations, and fund-raisers. Funds are used for volunteer recruitment and training, and to keep our offices running.
How will my donation be used?
Here are some of the examples of how we use our funds:
Office rent
Utilties
Office supplies
Volunteer training manuals
Volunteer training videos
Other volunteer resources (Books, manuals, CDs etc. that are used for ongoing training or for reference.)
Travel / rooms / meals for training workshops not held locally
Guest speakers (Staff and volunteer advocates are required to obtain continuing education units (CEUs) each year. CASA staff do our best to provide CEU opportunities locally. We also try to make these opportunities available to other local agencies involved in the child welfare system).
Ongoing staff training (Staff provides guidance, advice and supervision to all volunteer advocates. Staff are specially-trained to do this).
Public Relations / recruitment materials (Brochures, flyers, advertising.)
What if I want to make an in-kind donation?
In-kind donations (i.e. providing a service at cost or free of charge, providing office supplies or equipment at a reduced rate or free of charge, etc.) are greatly appreciated. These donations help us save our money for things like training and recruitment efforts. Please contact the Stephenville CASA office if you are interested in making an in-kind donation: 254.965.6610.
Our promise to our community:
CASA staff and board members pledge to be wise stewards of our resources, so as to best serve our children and our community. Want to know if our funds are really being put to good use? Ask any CASA staff person, board member, or volunteer advocate how CASA is making a difference in the lives of abused and neglected children!
